Design & Build - Al Bada’a Storage Reservoir, Al Bada’a Day Tank and connecting Transmission Mains

NEOM is undertaking the necessary engineering works to enable the completion of high quality and efficient potable water, transmission, storage and distribution networks to service the ongoing development of NEOM region.

The objective of the Al Bada’a scheme is to construct the 235,000 m3 Reservoir with provision for a second 235,000 m3 Reservoir under a future stage at the Al Bada’a Main Site. A pumping station at Al Bada’a main site will be constructed with the total capability of accommodating 107 MLD, in addition to chlorination system, 1.5km of 500mm transmission main from Al Bada’a Reservoir to the 25,000m3 Day Tank at the Al Bada’a Day Tank Site.

Provision to be made for the system to be controlled by a SCADA system, for all required instrumentation (ICA), for connections to the existing water supply system, and for access roads and site works at each of the sites.

The scope of work includes hydraulic, structural, architectural and electromechanical designs, water quality modeling (CFD) for reservoirs, hydraulic modeling analysis, water hammer protection system, SCADA system, road works, general site coordination and landscape, environmental study, hydrology and storm management study, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, instrumentation, control, automation and BMS works for buildings. All project deliverables are prepared using Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Geographic Information System (GIS).
