Design & Build of Magna Water Storage Reservoir
Innovated Planning and development of water transmission, storage and distribution systems is very essential at the current stage for ongoing development of NEOM region. As part of that network, NEOM proposes to advance the development of a new potable water storage reservoir at a strategic location, enabling delivery of drinking quality water for a permanent water supply for NEOM northern catchment (Magna and Wadi Tayyib).
The objective of the Magna scheme is to construct the 200,000 m3 reservoir with provision for a second 200,000 m3 reservoir under a future stage. In addition to chlorination system, culvert utilities, water, fire and irrigation pump station building, PV and battery building.
The scope of work includes hydraulic, structural, architectural and electromechanical designs, water quality modeling (CFD) for reservoirs, hydraulic modeling analysis, water hammer protection system, SCADA system, road works, general site coordination and landscape, environmental study, hydrology and storm management study, PV, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, instrumentation, control, automation and BMS works for buildings. All project deliverables are prepared using Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Geographic Information System (GIS).
